PROJECT ENGINEER AT MOTOR CONTROL WAREHOUSE

 

Due to substantial growth over the past 5 years, MCW is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Electrical/Electronic Engineer.

The prospective candidate should be keen to embrace a challenging yet rewarding new role. He or she would be involved in the quoting, designing, testing and commissioning of control panels for process and industrial automation applications.

Day to day duties would include:

· Liaising with clients to understand the requirements of their system to generate a suitable specification and control philosophy.

· Generate a Bill of Material (BOM) with the hardware required for their system.

· Producing a quotation for the customer.

· Design electrical control panels using electrical CAD software.

· Testing/commissioning of control panels.

· Offer technical support on systems sold by MCW.

· Occasional site work to commission/ help fault find.

Requirements:

HNC or higher in an electrical/electronic discipline and or suitable experience in a similar role.

Knowledge of inverter drives, motors and control systems.

Good communications skills to establish relationships with customers.

Computer literate in Outlook, Word and Excel.

Work under minimal supervision with good self-time management.

Desirable:

Experience in designing control systems using both PLC/HMI’s and relay logic.

CAD experience (control panel design).

Experience in PLC/ HMI programming.

General industrial automation experience.

18th edition IEE wiring regulations.

C&G, 2391 Electrical Test and Inspection.

Clean driving licence.

 

Normal working hours would be 8.00am to 4.30pm, 5 days per week with a generous remuneration package available, based on experience and qualification.
