• The first being an IP66/IP55 (high water and dust ingress protection) variant of the standard IP20, panel mount Inverter Drive. These inverters are deemed enclosed as they are safe to mount almost anywhere. They are water proof, dust proof and finger proof. Their enclosure or case also offers a reasonable amount of mechanical protection for the electronics inside. This makes them decidedly more robust than the standard IP20, panel mount variant.

  • The second being an IP20 inverter mounted in a control panel by a third party manufacturer, with added control features, such as stop/start push buttons, mains isolator and a speed potentiometer. They would almost always have ventilation fans fitted. These Enclosed Inverter Drives are generally IP54 protection and offer a very robust powder coated steel enclosure. They can be a basic off the shelf product or tailored to the client's needs. They tend to be used in more physically/environmentally demanding environments.

  • The application of both of these product variants is wide ranging, from fans and pumps to conveyors and agricultural machinery.
